ALISO VEIJO, Calif. - The men's soccer team picked up a big win last night over Soka University to keep pace and move within half a game of Soka for the fourth Cal Pac playoff spot.
The game was the tale of two defenses and one goal that found the back of the net.
The Red Hawks were outshot 23-10 and 11-1 in the first half.
However, the game-winner belonged to
Michel Hampe who continues to stay hot as he scored his team-leading 11th goal of the season in the 79th minute.
Goalkeeper
Daniel Morales registered the shutout and clean sheet between the posts. He recorded eight saves and earned the win.
With the win, the men's team moved within half a game of Soka and kept the pace of staying ahead of St. Katherine in the playoff chase with only two games left.
The men's team will look to stay hot as they take on St. Katherine next Saturday, October 21st at 12:30 PM.
