Simpson Drops Game in The Lion's Den

ALISO VIEJO, Calif. - The women's team dropped its road matchup yesterday against Soka University 3-2. 

Simpson got on the board first with the help of some friendly fire from Soka as they scored on it's own goal. 

However, the Lions swiftly answered back with three straight goals to take a 3-1 lead. 

The Red Hawks pulled within one when Monserrath Bedolla-Guzman scored her third goal of the season in the 68th minute. 

Simpson made some late-minute efforts with three corner kicks and a shot on goal by Chloe Tague. 

But Soka was able to prevail and hold onto the 3-2 victory over Simpson. 

With the loss, Simpson is now 1 GB St. Katherine University for the second Cal Pac playoff spot. 

The Red Hawks will look to bounce back next week on Saturday when they take on St. Katherine on October 21st at 10 AM.
