Simpson Stays Hot with Second Blowout Win in a Row

REDDING, Calif. - Simpson takes out Pacific Union with an impressive performance on both sides of the ball, winning 84-32.

The Red Hawks came out with an aggressive defense with 18 steals in the game. The defense only allowed two points in the second quarter and 11 points the whole first half.

Simpson's Livi Lindsey had a terrific defensive performance with five steals. Most of those steals resulted in Lindsey breaking away across the court to complete an uncontested layup. She ended the day with 16 points.

On the other side of the ball, Sandra Berrocal had a stellar day dropping 22 points and only missing two of her shots. Berrocal was 9-for-11 from the field and was perfect from downtown, draining all four three-pointers.

After tonight's exciting win, the Red Hawks are tied with Antelope Valley as they battle for the number one spot.

The Red Hawks face Embry-Riddle away this coming week on Thursday, Jan. 26, at 5:30 pm.
