REDDING, Calif. - This past weekend, Simpson Baseball hosted their last series of the season against Benedictine University at Mesa. In game one on Friday April 29th, SU would fall to Ben U. Despite having eleven hits, Simpson would struggle to get runners in and ultimately fell to Benedictine Mesa, 11-6.

In game two of the series, Simpson would just fall to Benedictine despite having the same number of hits as them. Although, first basemen, Sam Nakata, would have two hits in five at bats, with two RBIs, and senior outfielder Jerry Zurita, would have three hits in five at bats. On the defensive side, sophomore Titus Sato would have a season high of four strikeouts in just two innings pitched. 

However, on Saturday in the final game of the series and of the season, SU baseball battled back and would end up beating Ben U, 14-13. Once again, Sam Nakata would have quite the game offensively and would end his baseball career going four for five, with five RBIs, while senior Connor Wytko would end his college career going two for two, with two RBIs. 

After a rollercoaster of a year, the Simpson Baseball Team ended their season with a win and a record of 11-15 in conference, finishing seventh in conference play.
