REDDING, Calif. - The Men's Volleyball Team has returned home following their second consecutive conference tournament, where they fell to the #1 seed Benedictine-Mesa on April 1st.

Simpson fell in the first set, 25-21, the second 25-16 and the third 25-21. It was the third matchup of the season for the two teams and the second close game.

The Red Hawks tallied 24 kills, two aces, 16 digs and 23 assists. Christian Murry led the Red Hawks in kills with seven, followed by Flavio Mercado with six. Michail Kagialis had the lone block for the Red Hawks and Nikos Kalagasidis had all 23 assists. Steven Brasher led SU in digs with six.

Simpson Men's Volleyball had their best conference season thus far, finishing with a record of 7-5 and an overall record of 8-10.

The Red Hawks remain a young team, returning all but one player for next season. They will look to continue building on their success and get farther into the conference tournament next year.
