GREAT FALLS, MT - Simpson University women's wrestling took part in the Cascade Collegiate Conference Championships Sunday, February 27th in Great Falls. MT.
The Red Hawks wrestled well against one of the top wrestling conferences in the country.

Melanie Salazar finished the day with 4th place honors, narrowly losing in the semi-finals to the top seed of the tournament and 5th ranked wrestler in the nation by a score of 13-10.

Aphrodite Ayala wrestled impressively placing 6th place at the tournament only losing to the 6th and 9th nationally ranked wrestlers respectfully.

Sasha Bell lost to the 4th ranked wrestler in the nation and ended the tournament with a 5th place finish.

Salazar, Ayala and Bell each qualified and will represent Simpson University in the NAIA Women's National Wrestling Tournament to be held March 11th-12th in Jamestown, ND.
