Men's Soccer Advances To Postseason

REDDING, Calif. - For the third year in a row, the Simpson Men's Soccer Team has advanced to compete in the California Pacific Conference Tournament.

Coming off an undefeated season at home, and a 6-3-3 conference record, the men are looking to bring home a title for the first time in program history.

Simpson outscored its opponents, 27-23, during the season and recorded 18 assists with 69 saves on defense.

In the quarterfinals, the #5 seeded Red Hawks will travel to Riverside, CA to take on the #4 seeded La Sierra Golden Eagles.

During the regular season, SU topped LSU at home with a final of 1-0. In that game, Simpson out shot la Sierra, 14-6, and had four saves to keep the Golden Eagles off the board.

The winner of the contest will face top seeded Embry-Riddle later in the week in the semifinals.

The Red Hawks and Golden Eagles will face off on November 6th, at noon, in Riverside.
