ROCKLIN, Calif. - Simpson University softball split a two-game series with William Jessup University, 6-1 and 8-6.
In the series opener, Jessup hung a five-spot in the 6th inning against SU which became the difference. The only SU run was scored on an error following a sacrifice bunt that plated
Mia Olvera.
In game two, Simpson turned things around quickly with a four-run second inning and a three-run fourth inning.
Sunshine Wehunt recorded the complete game victory in the circle holding Jessup, while the Red Hawks notched ten hits. Rizzardo, Ramirez, and Zamora each tallied two hits for Simpson in the game-two win.
The Red Hawks will be back on the field on Monday facing San Diego Christian for a doubleheader beginning at 12 PM.
