REDDING, Calif. - The pouring rain didn't stop the Red Hawks' momentum as they beat Pacific Union 3-0 at Redding Soccer Park.

Simpson women's soccer now improves to 5-1-1 in conference play and are fighting for a top seed heading towards the Cal Pac tournament in a few weeks.

Haylee Ward was active offensively once again coming off winning Cal Pac Attacker of the Week this past week, scoring three goals and tallying three assists. Ward recorded a brace in the Red Hawks' win while also distributing an assist to Jenna Monahan.

Defensively, the Red Hawks tallied their second consecutive clean sheet as Kiah Gridley has kept SU's opponents scoreless for 180 minutes straight.

Coach Carrera's squad continues to play well and has hit top form at the right time with just four matches remaining before the conference tournament.

The Red Hawks play their final road conference game of the year against Cal Maritime on Friday, October 29th at 5 PM in Vallejo, CA.
