CALDWELL, Idaho - Simpson women's basketball fell on the road tonight to the College of Idaho Yotes, 64-45.

Even in a game where the Red Hawks shots weren't falling, their defense kept them in striking distance. SU continues to thrive in transition forcing 23 Yotes turnovers resulting in 19 points. Brianna Clark led the way for the Red Hawks in the scoring column with 12 points, while Tymiko Patterson and Ellie Hamel each chipped in eight.

"I was really impressed with our defensive effort today. We played with a lot more energy and focus. We now have to figure out a more consistent way to score the ball. We also can't get down 18 points in the first half. I am proud of how we played and excited to see how we grow from this game," Pringle says.

The Red Hawks are back in action tomorrow for the second half of a double-header with the Yotes. Tip-off is set for 1 PM PST.
