VALLEJO, Calif. - The Red Hawks picked up their fourth conference loss as they traveled down to Vallejo to take on the Keelhaulers. Simpson led by five at the half, but CSUM marched back in the second and the Red Hawks were unable to suppress their offensive surge and the Keelhaulers pulled away in the final three minutes of the game.
Brycen Wight broke out off the Simpson Bench to lead the team in scoring, pouring in 17 points to go along with four rebounds.
Freshman
Nathan Presnell scored 13 points and grabbed eight rebounds while being matched up against CSUM's star Forward Zavier Lucero.
Dylan Banks also scored double-digits for SU, adding 10 points and connecting on two of three attempts from deep.
The Red Hawks look to get back to the win column Thursday night at home against Embry-Riddle. The last time Simpson faced the Eagles they ran away with a 29-point victory. The game is set to tip-off at 7:30 PM in the James M. Grant Center.
