MERCED, Calif. – Simpson traveled to Merced Thursday night looking to even the season series against the Bobcats of UC Merced. The Red Hawks put up some numbers but the Bobcats were able to run away with the win, 74-48.

Precious Jackson had a double-double off the bench. Jackson led the team in rebounds with 13 and managed to add 12 points and three steals in 26 minutes.
Samarra Fernandez got the start for SU and led the team in scoring with 15 points. Fernandez shot 6-10 from the field in the loss.
Natalie Campos also came off the bench for SU adding eight points and two rebounds.
The Red Hawks will head back home for the final home game of the season against PUC. The last time the Red Hawks faced Pacific Union, Simpson got a big win defeating the Pioneers 78-47. The Red Hawks will look to repeat the road effort at home while celebrating six graduating seniors.
