Jackson's Big Night Not Enough to Top LSU

SU falls to Golden Eagles 75-62 despite Precious Jackson's 17 point double-double.

REDDING, Calif. – The Red Hawks took on the La Sierra Golden Eagles at home Saturday night. SU fought hard but was unable to sustain any lead, eventually falling to LSU 75-62.
Simpson started the game well and took an early lead in the first quarter. Each member of the SU starting five scored in the opening minutes as SU took the early lead.

The Red Hawks were led by Senior Precious Jackson who had a monster double-double, posting 17 points and 11 rebounds in the loss. Jackson led SU in both points and boards.

Freshman Karina Archibald came off the bench for the Red Hawks and added 11 points, two rebounds, and an assist on 4 of 4 shooting from the field.

Alex Copper and Whitney Armstrong each added seven points against LSU while Cooper also managed to grab seven boards.

The Red Hawks will travel for their next action as they will take on the Keelhaulers Maritime on February 1st in Vallejo, Calif. SU will look to avenge an early season loss to Cal Maritime, Simpson fell by just four points at home back on January 4th.
