Box Score PORTLAND, OR. - After a rough start to the month of November, the Simpson Men's Basketball Team finds themselves back in the win column, defeating Northwest Indian College, 112-52.
In the last couple of weeks, the Red Hawks have played foes such as William Jessup, Menlo, and Oregon Tech, where they struggled to put together a win. Although said games didn't go the way of SU, they helped build the team that faced NIC.
Simpson quickly took hold of the game, grabbing a big 24-5 lead with just under 14 minutes remaining in the first half. On top of the lead, the Red Hawks went on several large scoring runs, including a 13-0 run halfway through the first half.
When halftime arrived, the Red Hawks were leading by a whopping 49 points, the scoreboard reading 71-22.
The last 20 minutes saw much of the same, Simpson continuing to put the hurt on Northwest Indian, ultimately winning by 50.
The Red Hawks will hit the hardwood again on Friday, November 22, as they face Multnomah University at 7 PM.
