RIVERSIDE, Calif - Simpson University women's volleyball was on the road this week in Southern California, taking on both Marymount and La Sierra.
Despite neither of the games finishing in favor of the Red Hawks, falling to the Mariners on Thursday, 3 sets to one, and the Golden Eagles on Friday, three sets to none, a few players still put up impressive numbers.Â
In Thursday's match, Lily Johnson recorded 17 kills and three blocks while Marianne Soria recorded 18 digs.Â
Johnson led the team again in kills in Friday's match, with 12. On defense, Soria led Simpson in digs with 17.Â
Johnson and Soria have been leaders for Simpson most of the season and have put up nice numbers this season that will make them contenders for All-Conference awards.
Simpson will return to the home court to take on Pacific Union on November 7th at 7 PM in the James M. Grant Center.
