PRESCOTT, Ariz. - Simpson men's basketball was unable pull off the comeback falling to Embry-Riddle, 76-72.
Despite another outstanding shooting performance from
Blake Trent scoring 32 points, Simpson's offense struggled scoring the basketball shooting at a 42 percent clip for the game while the Eagles knocked down just under 50 percent of their attempts. The only other Simpson player in double figures was
Aaron Berry, who finished with 13 points, however
Jalen Cooper tallied six rebounds and six assists in the loss.Â
Jon Manjon was two rebounds and a point shy of a double-double in just 22 minutes of action.
The Red Hawks slip to 6-3 in the Cal Pac and remain firmly in a playoff spot in the conference standings.
Simpson will return to action to face BenU Mesa on Saturday Feb. 2nd at 6:30 pm PST in Mesa, Arizona.
