Dias Scores PK, But Simpson Falls to Stanislaus St.

REDDING, Calif. - Simpson University men's soccer lost at home to NCAA D II opponent Stan State 4-1, Monday afternoon.

The Red Hawks gave up two quick goals in the first five minutes of the game, but settled in defensively only allowing two more goals against a tough NCAA team.

Lucas Dias scored the lone Simpson goal in the 61st minute on a penalty after getting fouled inside the box.

The Red Hawks will continue the home stand on Wednesday, when SU takes on William Jessup at 3 pm at the Simpson Soccer Field.
