LANCASTER, Calif. - Simpson University volleyball dropped three consecutive sets to UAV Friday night.

This loss comes on the heels of the conference opening match the previous night against Providence Christian.

However, in match two of conference play, the Red Hawks were unable to take a set off of the Pioneers in the sweep.

Marianne Soria led the Simpson defense with 14 digs as the Red Hawks did not have a hitter with double digit kills. Do-it-all senior, Ashley Cervantes had her hand print in nearly every statistical category for the match.

SU falls to 0-2 in the Cal Pac and 3-9 overall on the campaign.

Next up for Simpson is Benedictine Mesa on September 20th in the Grant Center for the first home match of the season.
