REDDING, Calif. - Simpson baseball hosted a four game series this weekend against Marymount, but the Mariners took three of four from the Red Hawks, which hurt Simpson's chances to get into the Cal Pac tournament.
The Red Hawks won game one of the series on a walk-off sac fly in the bottom of the 10th off the bat of
Dillon Klement that scored
Thomas Ahlstrom, who singled the leadoff the inning.
Vincent Cervantes recorded the win in relief getting some help from Simpson's sixteen hit attack.
In games two through four, the Red Hawks were unable to come up with key outs defensively and the Mariners capitalized on their opportunities.
Simpson slips to 7-14 in conference play, but will take on William Jessup in a non-conference matchup, Tuesday, April 10th at Tiger Field.
