REDDING, Calif. - As the race for the regular season Cal Pac title heats up, Simpson bared down against La Sierra and were able to lock up the a slot in the Cal Pac playoffs.

In the four game series that suffered numerous game time changes and a rain delay, the Red Hawks remained focused throughout the series taking three games in the four game series.

Game 1:
Seven of the nine Simpson hits came from Alexis Parras, Mia Olvera, and Deja Acosta as Olvera led the way with pair RBIs in the series opener. Sydney Moorhead went the distance again in the circle recording her 13th win of the year tallying five strikeouts. Simpson did most of its damage in the 5th inning as Olvera brought in Parras and Davies on her first career triple. Olvera would later touch home on a sacrifice bunt.

Brianna Lopez relieved Kranz in the 2nd inning and picked up the win, while Moorhead notched the final out and the save.
