REDDING, Calif. - After a dominating weekend for Simpson softball, the Red Hawks capture their 6th straight 30 win season and their 7th straight regular season Cal Pac Championship.
With the regular season complete, the Red Hawks appear to have everything rolling going into the playoffs. Simpson only allowed eight runs in four games against Antelope Valley, 8-2, 12-2, 7-3, 4-1.
The Simpson pitching staff has gotten hot at the right time as all four pitchers,
Sydney Moorhead,
Danielle Kranz,
Hailee Nichols,
Brianna Lopez all recorded wins in their respective starts.
Gentry Hoffman had a monster weekend, homering in game one and having a four RBI outing in game two. The two through four hitters,
Alexis Parras,
Mazzie Davies, and
Mia Olvera all did their part offensively driving in runs and keeping rallies alive all weekend long.
The Red Hawks recognized three seniors for Senior Day:
Tayler Zazueta,
Hailee Nichols, and
Rachel Esse, all played significant contributions on Sunday's doubleheader victories.
Simpson softball will host the Cal Pac Conference Tournament beginning on Thursday May 3rd at 10:00 am and facing Marymount in the 1st round.
