PRESCOTT, Ariz. - The Red Hawks got back on track and continued their dominance in the Cal Pac Conference with a four game sweep over Embry-Riddle.
Simpson improves to 7-1 in Cal Pac play and jumps out to a big first place lead.
Sydney Moorhead stays locked in on the mound picking up two wins for Simpson while recording a five inning shutout in game three. Moorhead has been the Red Hawks ace and most consistent starter throughout the season and is putting together a strong case for Cal Pac Pitcher of the Year.
Offensively, the Red Hawks were able to get timely hits throughout the four game series and especially in game two when Simpson rallied from two down in the seventh inning to send the game to extra innings.
A twenty hit output in game four gave Simpson a season-high in runs scored in the 16-11 win and the most runs since 2014.
SU will get back on its home field to take on Benedictine University on Saturday, April 7th, with a doubleheader beginning at noon.
