PALOS VERDES, Calif. - Simpson University volleyball fell in straight sets on the road to Marymount California University on Saturday night, 25-14, 25-22, 26-24.
Sets two and three came right down to the wire, but the Red Hawks were unable to get over the hump and record the set win.
Tracy Folchi led the way for Simpson offensively with a career-high double digit (10) kills for the evening.
Marianne Soria was the key contributor on defense tallying 28 digs sliding into second place in the Cal Pac in digs per set with 4.5.
SU falls to 0-6 in conference play, but with two more games left in the first half of conference play, there is still a lot of games remaining where the Red Hawks can turn the slow start around.
The Red Hawks are back at home Friday, October 3rd to face UC Merced in the James M. Grant Center at 7 pm.
