Merced, Calif. -- Josh Brakkee hit the 1000 point mark Thursday night as the Red Hawks fell to UC Merced 68-58. Brakkee's 18 points led all scorers while Anthony Spencer added 10 points of his own. Taira, Laflin, Haywood all finished in double figures with 18, 16, and 11 points respectively. Simpson's three point shooting percentage continues to plague them as they finished the game 3 for 11 from beyond the arc. 

The Red Hawks continue to handle the ball well limiting their turnovers to 10 for the game but the difference came on the boards tonight as UC Merced out rebounded Simpson 42-28.
