REDDING, Calif. -- Simpson dropped its first game of the season to the visting Benedictine-Mesa Redhawks by a final of 7-1.
In what some would describe as a tumultuous year, the Red Hawks were finally able to kick off their season with a game at home Friday afternoon. Unfortunately, Simpson was unable to keep up with Benedictine. Simpson's lone goal on the afternoon came in the 31st minute from
Emily Fuller while Jessica Dager finished with 20 saves.
Simpson plays again on Sunday at 9 am as they take on Embry Riddle University.
