Cody Coggins was sent to the mound for the home series opener against Providence Christian College and did not disappoint. Coggins threw over 100 pitches in 7 innings of work and fanned 8 Sea Beggar batters while giving up an unearned run. Rath Moseley and Derick Kuhn each went yard for Simpson which gave Simpson a lead they wouldn't let go of.
