Simpson University baseball fell in both games with Menlo College, 16-7, 2-1. Menlo, who was previously ranked 9th in nation before the new NAIA Coaches Poll, came into this matchup losing 5 out of its last 6 games. The Oaks bats woke up right away in game 1. Menlo scored in every inning except for the 2nd and the 8th inning. In the span from 3rd through the 6th inning, the Oaks scored a combined 12 runs.
In game 2, Colin Bovee pitched extremely well despite picking up the loss in a quality start.
Jared Bertotti picked up two hits and recorded Simpson's only RBI of the game. Nick Quejado and Dalton Maxwell each knocked in a run for the Oaks.
