Simpson University baseball fell on the road in game one of a three game series with Marymount, 9-2. The Mariners take a 3-1 game lead in the season series.
Cody Coggins struck out five batters in less than three innings of work and was replaced in the 3rd inning after giving up four earned runs. Marymount's Biagio Schutt allowed only five hits in eight innings picking up the win.

Casey Meyer returned to action after missing 31 games due to a wrist injury and went 1-3 at the plate.
