PASADENA, Calif. - Red Hawk baseball win its first conference series of the year, beating Providence Christian in 2 out of 3 games on the road.
Game 1:
Simpson University records its first shutout since 2012 behind a complete game shutout from
Zane Medeiros, 6-0. Simpson received a run in the 4th after a triple from
Jared Bertotti that came into to score the first run of the game on a groundout off the bat of
Aaron Curfman. In the 7th, Curfman led off with a single and the Red Hawks manufactured another run to take a 2-0 lead. Simpson tallied four insurance runs in the top of the 9th to push the lead to 6-0. Simpson scored six runs on 10 hits and reached base seven time via the base on balls.

The Red Hawks weren't able to complete the sweep of the Sea Beggars after falling in an extra innings heartbreaker, 7-6. Simpson recorded 15 hits in the 11 innings, but left 17 runners on base. Simpson fell behind by 3 before tying the game in the 7th inning after getting four consecutive hits from the heart of the order. In the bottom of the 11th inning, CJ Perez ended the game with a walk-off homerun to left field off of
Ryan Holmes.
