REDDING, Calif. - Simpson University men's basketball falls at home tonight to La Sierra University, 75-69.
The Red Hawks trailed from the opening tip and fell behind by as much as 17 in the second half, but were able to cut the lead to four with just 3 minutes remaining. Â Simpson allowed the Golden Eagles to shoot 52 percent from beyond the arc including six threes from Isaac Deese, who finished with a game-high 35 points.
The Red Hawks received a double-double from
Joseph Bosetti, who tallied 21 points and 11 rebounds to go along with five assists. Simpson struggled from three-point range, shooting just 19 percent from downtown.
Jalen Cooper and
Josh Brakkee each were in double figures combining for 23 points.
The Red Hawks have a steep hill to climb if they want a chance to make the Cal Pac Championships currently 3 games back of 4th place. Simpson will face Pacific Union on Senior Night on February 11th at 8:30 pm in the Grant Center.
