REDDING, Calif. -- The Red Hawks couldn't keep pace with the first place Pioneers; snapping a five game winning streak.

Simpson would shoot just 15 percent from the field in the first half and would trail 37-17 at the break. In the second half they would be able to keep pace with the Pioneers but the first half deficit would be too much as they would fall 81-55.

Wofford led the Red Hawks with 19 points as Whitney Rodriguez finished with 10 points and 8 boards. The Pioneers were led by Ahteana Jones who led all scorers with 25 points and also tallied 10 rebounds.

With that loss the Red Hawks fall back into a tie for second place with UC Merced. Simpson takes on La Sierra at home in the James M. Grant Center, on Saturday, February 4th.
