REDDING, Calif. - On a highly anticipated home debut for Head Coach, Todd Franklin, the Red Hawks matched No. 11 Southern Oregon blow for blow down early on, but were unable to keep up falling 91-79.

The Raiders outstanding free throw shooting in the second half gave them the edge they needed knocking down 27 free throws in 30 attempts.

Ben DeSaulnier recorded a game-high 29 points shooting 10 of 16 from the floor with seven rebounds for SOU. Josh Brakkee led the way for Simpson with 16 points and a rebound shy of a double-double.

Aron Rudd and Brandon Moss provided the spark off the bench for the Red Hawks combining for 24 points.

Simpson will take on Northwest University at the Markie Cosca Memorial Tournament hosted by Cal Maritime on November 10th at 5:30 pm.
