SALEM, Ore. - The matinee affair with Corban University was controlled by the Warriors from the opening tip. Simpson hovered around a five point deficit in the first half, but in the second half Corban took a commanding lead.

A rough shooting night plagued the Red Hawks into a shooting percentage below 26 percent. Lexi Thompson and Natalie Campos led Simpson in scoring on the afternoon. Corban out-rebounded the Red Hawks by 18 including 13 offensive rebounds.

Simpson will come back home to Redding to take on the Beacons from Northwest Christian on Tuesday with the tipoff at 5:30 pm.
