PASADENA, Calif. - In a game full of physicality, Providence Christian's back to back strikes for goals in the 8th minute were enough to hold of Simpson's surge.

The Red Hawks fired 24 shots, 14 of which were on frame, but only found the back of the net once on a Joseph Colmenero goal that was assisted by Noah Howbert. Howbert was later removed from the game for a pair of yellow cards as Simpson had to play a man down for the final 33 minutes.

Simpson completed its three game road trip with the loss to Providence and will have a home fixture before heading back on the road. SU will face Soka University of America on the home pitch on October 19th.
