ANGWIN, Calif. - Simpson University men's basketball stumbles on the road in a 86-66 loss to Pacific Union College.
Turnovers plague the Red Hawks coughing up the orange 31 times translating into 30 points for the Pioneers. Simpson was unable to convert on a three point shot in just four attempts while Pacific Union knocked down 7 attempts. Â The Red Hawks allowed the Pioneers to track down 14 offensive rebounds resulting in 20 second chance points.
Josh Brakkee finished with a career-high 28 points and helped out on the glass bringing down 9 rebounds.
Pacific Union improves to 3-2 and moves up to the 3rd seed in the Cal Pac standings. Â Simpson slips to 1-4 and falls to the 7th seed in conference.
Simpson will begin a two game home stand with a matchup with UC Merced on January 19th at 7:30 pm in the Grant Center.
