LANCASTER, Calif. - Simpson University's Volleyball team dropped a 5 set match to the University of Antelope Valley, 23-25, 23-25, 25-21, 25-18, 20-18.
Simpson won the first two sets and led 13-4 in the 3rd before suffering a huge momentum shift that allowed UAV to make a comeback and finish off with a victory. With the loss, the Red Hawks are now 3-12 on the season, with a 0-5 conference record.
Ashley Cervantes and
Miranda Cook each had double digit kills combining for 22 for the match. Â
Aimee Belleville had four of the teams 14 blocks.
The Pioneers improve to 2-3 in conference play and are now tied for 4th place in the Cal Pac.
The Red Hawks will now travel to Merced, Calif. to take on the UC Merced Bobcats on October 1st, at 7 p.m.
