REDDING, Calif. - Simpson University volleyball had to swallow a tough 3-set loss to Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, 25-15, 25-21, 25-15.

The Red Hawks had 20 team errors on 96 total attacks and finished with 27 kills.  Ashley Cervantes led the way with seven kills with Aimee Belleville close behind with six of her own.  Senior, Kelsey Reibsamen finished with 19 assists and 5 digs.

The Eagles as a team ended up with 39 kills and finished the first set with just one error of the total of 11.  Lyndsey Weiler had a game-high 10 kills in only 17 attempts and just 2 errors. Setter, Hannah Mercurio also finished with a game-high 32 assists.

Simpson has less than 24 hours to rest, facing Benedictine Mesa at home on Saturday, September 24th at 3 p.m.
