Incline Village, Nev. - The Simpson University men's soccer team wins its first game of the year with a 1-0 victory of Sierra Nevada College.

This is Alex Mathias' first career win as head coach of Simpson University.

Simpson forward, Cody Beaumont scored the only goal, the first of his Simpson career.

The Red Hawks look to continue their winning ways with the first Cal Pac Conference meeting with Cal Maritime on September 22nd. Kickoff is at 6 pm in Vallejo, Calif.
