REDDING, Calif. - Simpson University men's basketball fell at home to Embry-Riddle in the Cal Pac Opener, 70-63.

Embry-Riddle knocked down 12 three pointers and its zone defense seemed to stump the Red Hawks early.

Simpson got to the line 19 times, but continue to struggle making less than half (9). Josh Brakkee and Aron Rudd each finished in double figures and combined for 15 rebounds.

Logan Skurdal and Nick Johnson led the way for the Eagles, doing most of their damage from beyond the 3 point line.

The Red Hawk fall to 0-1 in conference play and will now face Benedictine on Monday, December 19th at 7:30 pm in the Grant Center.
