REDDING, Calif. - Simpson University men's basketball fell at home to Oregon Tech, 87-75.
Simpson now slips to 1-10 on the season while the Owls improve to 5-3.
The Red Hawks trailed by as much as 17 in the second half, but cut it to three twice before OIT iced the game with a run of their own.
The Owls were led by Joel Yellow Owl, who finished with a career high 45 points on 19-28 from the field and 5-7 from three. No other Oregon Tech player was in double figures.
Simpson received big nights from its front court with
Josh Brakkee and
Alex Huerta combining for 38 points, each with 19. Â
Joseph Bosetti finished with a team-high 20 points for the Red Hawks.
The Red Hawks will now gear up for an exhibition matchup with Chico State University on Monday, November 28th at 7 pm in the Grant Center.
