LA GRANDE, Ore. - Simpson Red Hawks men's basketball fell to Eastern Oregon University, 95-73.

The Mountaineers began the game on a 28-12 run and never looked back. The starting group for Simpson struggled out of the gate and Coach Jim Holcomb quickly looked for help from his bench.

Josh Brakkee continues to be the Red Hawks most consistent player, shooting 9 of 13 from the field and finishing with 18 points in just 20 minutes. Nick Rodriguez had 12 off the bench, in what was his best game of the year.

Simpson could not contain Brian McGriff, who was hitting from all cylinders and ended with a game-high 30 points, knocking down 6 shots from downtown.

These two teams meet again for a rematch on November 13th at 4 pm in La Grande, Ore.
