REDDING, Calif. - The Red Hawks men's basketball team took down Corban University, 87-79.

The Red Hawks led the entire 40 minutes and at one point stretched the lead to 17 in the 2nd half.

Simpson received a balanced scoring attack from the starting group, led by Joseph Bosetti who ended with 21 points. Three other starters also finished in double figures (Josh Brakkee, Jalen Cooper, Sean Smith).

The Red Hawks held Corban to 37 percent shooting from the floor for the game. Alex Huerta had a career high five assists, one of which was feeding Aron Rudd on an alley oop in the first half.

Simpson controlled the pace for most the 2nd half, capitalizing on fouls knocking down 17 free throws.

The Red Hawks now await a rematch with Southern Oregon University on November 4th at 7:30 pm.
