SANTA CRUZ, Calif. - Simpson University women's volleyball fell to UC Santa Cruz in four sets, 25-23, 25-21, 17-25, 25-22.

Simpson continues to struggle, falling to 5-18 on the season.  The Banana Slugs improve to 10-12 in 2016.

Leading the way for the Red Hawks was Ashley Cervantes, who finished with three aces, 16 kills, and 17 digs, all of which were a team-high.

The Slugs were led by Tatum Novitzky and Kallan Bedard, who finished with 17 kills each.

Simpson will face the Bobcats from UC Merced next on October 28th at 7 pm in the James M. Grant Center.
