Men's Soccer Ends Season with Semifinals Loss to Marymount

WILMINGTON, Calif. - The Simpson men's soccer team lost to top-seeded No. 17 Marymount 5-0 in the Cal-Pac Championship semifinals Thursday at Seahawk Field on the campus of L.A. Harbor College.

Marymount took control of the match scoring four goals in the first half. In the second half the Red Hawks held the Mariners to one goal, but couldn't generate enough offense to score and dropped the match 5-0.

The Mariners outshot the Red Hawks 26-6 and 15-5 in shots on goal. 

Mitchell Boyle posted three shots with two on goal, while Jordan Magera, Brad Manivong and Myers Koffa each recorded one shot on goal.

Goalkeeper Michael Jones allowed five goals, but recorded 10 saves on the day.
