Men's Soccer Completes Sweep Over Keelhaulers

REDDING, Calif. - The Simpson men's soccer team completed the season sweep over CSU Maritime and all but assured itself of a Cal-Pac Conference Tournament bid Saturday afternoon 6-1 at the Simpson Soccer Field. SU needs either a win or tie in their final game of the regular season or a loss or tie from Pacific Union in one of the Pioneers' final two games of the season.

The Red Hawks dominated the match with 25 more shots than the Keelhaulers (30-5). And posted the advantage on shots on goal 12-3.

Brandon Jacobsen with another stellar game, recorded two goals giving him a total of 12 on the season. Jacob Muniz, Connor Brown, David Dinius, and Travis Ratzlaff each scored a goal for the Red Hawks. 

Simpson had a strong defensive performance only allowing one goal and three shots on goal for the Keelhaulers. 

The Red Hawks return to action for their last home game against UC Merced on Saturday, Nov. 7. Kickoff is set for 3:00 p.m.
