College: Lawson is entering her first season playing basketball for the Red Hawks. She transferred to Simpson from Shasta College prior to the 2015-16 season.

High School: Lawson played four years of varsity basketball at Enterprise High School. She was first in the state in rebounds, averaging 17.7 a game. She received first team offensive and defensive honors twice. She also played volleyball. She played club basketball for the Shasta Magic and Showtime Hoops.

Personal: Ravien is the daughter of Barbara Lawson. She enjoys spending time with her son and long luxurious naps. Her career goal is to become a social worker or a probation officer.

Reason for coming to SU: “I admire that it’s a campus full of individuals who are actively seeking God and growing academically through him.”
