Tayler Shaw has been an assistant coach at Simpson University since 2019. She has helped the lead Red Hawks to 5 consecutive Cal Pac Tournament berths.

Along with her coaching duties, Shaw became the Assistant Director of Athletics in 2021 where she handles scheduling and overseas travel and game management. 

Prior to coaching at Simpson, Shaw had a decorated playing career at Shasta College and Simpson. She started her career at Shasta College in 2015 and earned second-team All-Golden Valley Conference honors. In 2016, She continued her success on the field as she earned the Golden Valley Conference MVP and a first-team All-Golden Valley Conference selection. In the classroom, Shaw graduated with her Associate's Degree in Criminal Justice in 2016. 

After Shasta, Shaw transferred to Simpson in 2017 to continue her academic and athletic career as a Red Hawk. She made an immediate impact as she helped Simpson to two consecutive Cal Pac championship titles in 2017 and 2018. Shaw was recognized in 2018 with the Cal Pac Champions of Character award for her sportsmanship and character on and off the field. She graduated in 2019 from Simpson with her Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Studies. 

Shaw grew up in Red Bluff, CA, and attended Red Bluff High School where she played softball and volleyball. She resides in Redding, CA with her husband Andrew, and her daughter Raelynn.
