Estes has been a part of the Simpson softball coaching staff for the past five years. Estes is the infield and first base coach. He has helped the Red Hawks to a playoff berth in each of his five seasons.

Prior to his coaching career at Simpson, Estes coached baseball and softball at Fall River High School. Estes was a standout athlete as he played basketball at Sacramento State and football and baseball at Shasta College. He also received his associates degree from Shasta College. Estes had a decorated fastpitch career playing for the Guenella Brothers. He was an All-American shortstop and at one time was one of the top 5 fastpitch shortstops in the world.

Estes currently resides in his childhood hometown of Fall River, CA with his wife Michelle and their three daughters.
