Jaxon Hotta joined the Red Hawks softball coaching staff in the fall of 2025.
A 2019 graduate out of Leilehua High School in Hawaii began his collegiate career playing three seasons at Menlo College in Atherton, CA, before transferring to Simpson University for his final two years of competition.
During his time as a Red Hawk, Hotta became a stalwart behind the plate as he logged 62 games with 53 starts. Hotta had a stellar .983 fielding percentage over his two years as he caught 15 would-be-stealers in 2025, ranking 4th in program history to push him up the list for 4th all-time in runners caught stealing with 27. But 2025 proved to be a breakout campaign for Hotta as he slashed .364 BA/ .473 SLG%/.434 OB% to claim a Cal Pac All-Conference selection.
