Senituli Taufahema is entering his first year on the Red Hawks baseball coaching staff. Taufahema has been used as an extra hand while specializing in outfield and hitting work.
Before his coaching career Taufahema started his career at College of the Canyons. He spent two seasons with the Cougars he slashed .316 BA/.344 OBP/.350 SLG in 33 games played in his first year. However, he would slash a .353 BA with 22 RBIs and 23 runs scored while on his way to an All-WSC 2nd Team selection.
Taufahema would transfer to Cal Pac rival Marymount University where he played one year. In his lone season with the Mariners, he was there everyday center fielder and slashed .325 BA/.394 OBP/.397 SLG.
Taufahema would finish his collegiate career in 2023 with the Red Hawks and became an immediate impact player. He slashed a team-high .404 BA/.447 OB/.497 SLG. He led the Red Hawks in BA, at-bats, hits, and runs scored. He proved to be equally important on defense as the everyday center fielder by posting a solid .970 FLD%.
Taufahema graduated in 2023 with his Bachelors of Arts degree in Psychology.
While being an assistant coach, Taufahema has started his professional baseball career in the Independent baseball league in SoCal. He is currently still pursing his dream of coaching and playing professional baseball.
